Restarting this blog

 A few days ago, a friend suggested I blog my adventures on the Camino Ingles, which I start walking on Tuesday 16th April. I subsequently discovered that I'd created this blog in 2017, and promptly forgotten it! So, here we are, a new start with a very good topic.

If you're new here, I will explain that I'm walking this Camino as a fundraiser for our local hospice, Oakhaven. They were a godsend to my late wife Betty and me as she neared the end of her life in 2022. I am therefore passionate about helping them to continue providing supportb to others like us.

My Camino adventure begins on Monday as I fly to A Coruna in northwestern Spain and transfer to Ferrol for an overnight stay. On Tuesday I begin the 117km walk to Santiago de Compostela. Following weeks of appalling weather in the area, much like here in southern England, it is settling down and should be dry and warmish for me. Fingers crossed.
